Privacy Policy
This policy covers sendy.md and the Sendy macOS app. It is written for the current macOS and web product surfaces and will be updated as the service changes.

What Sendy Stores
Sendy stores paste content and metadata when you create a link, save history, or use account-backed features. Paste metadata can include generated slugs, timestamps, visibility and protection settings, cleanup mode, and ownership information needed to show your history or recover deleted items.
If you password-protect a paste, Sendy sends the password to the API to verify or create protection. The service stores password verification data such as a hash and salt, not the plaintext password.
Account and Billing Data
If you sign in, Sendy stores account identifiers and contact information such as your email address so the product can sync history, manage settings, and provide support.
Paid plans are handled by billing providers. Sendy does not collect or store full card numbers in the macOS app or web app.
Cleanup and AI Processing
Deterministic cleanup runs through Sendy's formatting pipeline. When you choose Sendy Cloud AI formatting, paste content needed for formatting may be processed by Sendy's hosted AI infrastructure and providers.
The macOS app can also use local Apple Intelligence on supported Macs. Local AI formatting is initiated by you and does not require Sendy Cloud AI processing.
Diagnostics and Operations
Sendy may use server, database, hosting, and security logs to operate the service, debug failures, prevent abuse, enforce limits, and keep the product reliable.
The Sendy macOS app does not include a third-party advertising SDK or cross-app tracking SDK.
Sharing and Processors
Sendy uses service providers for hosting, database storage, authentication, billing, email or support workflows, AI processing when selected, and Apple platform distribution. These providers process data only as needed to provide the service.
Public paste links can be viewed by anyone with the link unless you delete them or protect them with a password. Do not paste secrets or private data you do not intend to process through Sendy.
Retention and Deletion
Saved paste history remains available while your account and plan allow it. Deleted saved pastes may remain recoverable for a limited trash window before permanent removal.
